Four "Latency Laws"

Before answering a question, reply 1 minute

late But most of the time, we only promise what we couldn't do out of momentary loyalty and joy, or even for momentary face and pride. You promised to invite someone to dinner tomorrow, but you forgot that you are going on a business trip tomorrow. You promise to do things for someone else, but you forget that you can't do it at all.

Sometimes, instead of trying to explain after the fact, it's better to say no in advance. When replying to someone, rather than bluntly agree, think calmly for a minute before replying.

Before you act, do it 1 minute late.

No matter the big or the small, you have to think about it before you do it. Instead of doing it, you will regret it.

When making any decision, do it 1 minute later. Because wanting to do and being able to do are two different things. When you think clearly that what you want to do is what you can do, you can do it with confidence. But if what you want to do and what you can do are inconsistent, there may be bad results.

Speak 1 minute late before making a judgment. When

we make judgments, we always have inherent biases and intuitions to say some unbiased words.

When you don't know a person well enough, you can't judge others at will, because when you don't think from the perspective of others, you can't empathize with them.

When you don't know enough about one thing, don't judge right and wrong easily, because when you don't know the whole picture, it is easy to confuse black and white and facts.

Sometimes, it may only take half a minute to say a bad word, but the harm and pain caused to others may be half a lifetime.

So when judging others, you might as well say a minute later.

1 minute late before getting angry

When we encounter unpleasant things, we have the urge to lose our temper. Many times, what makes you angry isn't really that big of a deal. But if the excitement wasn't contained at the time, things could have gotten too big. No matter how big the problem is, losing your temper will not help you solve the problem, but will increase your pressure, intensify even greater conflicts, and even cut off your retreat.

In fact, everything has room for manoeuvre or remedy. As long as you calm down, you can definitely find a better way to deal with it. When you are about to get angry, calm down for a minute before deciding what to do next.
