Five ways to beat the Monday Blues

There is a saying in Harvard University that one's success depends entirely on how hard he works in his spare time. If you can dedicate two hours a night to reading, studying, attending meaningful discussions, or speaking, you will find yourself making a real difference in your life.

In the same way, if you can put your weekends to good use over the years, you can make huge strides.

However, how do most young people spend their weekends in real life?

Some have overfulfilled their learning tasks, some have successfully passed game levels; Some people learn new knowledge from books, some people hold their mobile phone to watch short video all day......

After the weekend "rest", some people harvest a lot, progress is obvious; Some people suffer from the Monday syndrome: being late or feeling sluggish all day.

Monday syndrome refers to the symptoms of office workers on Monday, such as fatigue, chest tightness and lethargy. It turned out that the younger students had similar symptoms on Mondays.

Monday syndrome is a phenomenon in which office workers feel uncomfortable when they return to work on Monday after exhausting themselves and relaxing over the weekend. Why is it that some people manage to schedule their weekends so they feel rested, while others suffer from the Monday syndrome?

The reason is that each person has a different capacity for "self-discipline." If you lack self-discipline and don't know what to do and when, you can't plan your weekends well.

So how can you overcome the Monday syndrome? The following five methods are for reference:

1. Organize your weekend activities scientifically. We just need a good rest after a busy week. Especially the night before work, do not stay up late, so that we can ensure that in the next day's work energetic. After work, we can use this time to have dinner with friends and visit parents and relatives instead of completely letting go of ourselves.

Sports can make people full of energy and enthusiasm. By immersing ourselves in exercise, we can take our minds off the troubles around us for a while. You might as well get up in the morning, move your body a little bit, go for a run or do some exercises at home, let your mind and body really wake up. In the process of exercise, we can also release pressure and some bad emotions.

3. Breakfast is essential. A good breakfast can get us into a good mood in the morning, so don't skip breakfast every day, and take it seriously. According to medical research, it's best to eat a low-fat, high-protein meal in the morning. Protein increases adrenaline and concentration, while low-fat foods reduce stress.

4. Take breaks to relax your body and mind. After a busy day at work, some relaxing activities can help us quickly eliminate the fatigue caused by work. We can sit on a couch or lounge chair and spread the message of rest to all parts of our body. At this time, the brain can not think of anything, listen to some light music, let yourself take a nap or do eye exercises. After the body relaxes, stretch and stretch, or eat a snack or drink a cup of coffee to energize the body.

5. Go to bed early on Sunday. Sufficient sleep is the condition for orderly work. Some people are used to sleeping late in the holiday, or are excited during the day, and can't sleep at night. Try lying in bed 35 to 40 minutes earlier, meditating with your eyes closed, or taking a relaxing bath to help you fall asleep faster. If you're still in the habit of sleeping in, it's better to prepare for the next day in the evening. This will shorten the preparation time in the morning and allow us to wake up refreshed.
