Time claims to heal everything

Humans need to mark themselves with memory. The happiness and pain stored in a person's brain constitute all of his past, which is the proof of his existence and also reveals the path he has traveled. For a couple, they have the same memories because they lived together. Those memories have become the key to their close relationship. However, when pain becomes the subject of memories, this intimate relationship cannot continue.

Like the other two dramas in the "Shall We Talk" series of Shiba Theater in 2017, "Poison" is also a drama that only relies on dialogue between two actors from beginning to end. "Open Couple" discusses the possibility of open marriage, "Breath" discusses fertility anxiety, and "Poison" discusses the relationship between shared memory and self-healing.

In "Poison", because it is found that the groundwater in the cemetery is poisonous, the child needs to be moved to the grave. It was raining on the day they met. It’s been 10 years, and the man said it’s 9 years. The woman said, December 31, 1999, 7:20 pm-that was the time the man left.

Ten years later, the man has a new family and will soon have another child. The woman has never forgotten the pain of losing a child. She said that she is addicted to sleeping pills and probably also to pain. The man asked her why she didn't let go of the painful memory and start her life again. The woman asked, "Can the pain be controlled?"

Losing a child is a kind of pain, while the man's departure was another kind of pain. For many years, these two kinds of pain have been intertwined, and the woman has been unable to tell which kind of pain she is still unable to let go of. Chatting in such a situation is not an easy task. The woman wanted to ask the man why he left, but her emotions were a little out of control; the man wanted to end the conversation, he turned and left.

The man left the stage, and the sound of the car starting from the dark. This is really a failed conversation! The woman spread the raincoat on the ground, sat down, and waited quietly. She didn't know what she was waiting for.

After a while, the man returned to the stage again. He said: "On the way here, I remembered the first time I saw you. When you laughed, there was a dimple on the corner of your mouth. Why did I forget the way you laughed? And, that dimple." ——Memory, how terrible, and how gentle!

They sat down to chat again. This time, they no longer avoided the pain they once had. They talked about the car accident and the last time they spent with their children in the hospital. It's really not easy to talk about this, but after speaking it out, the rock in my heart seems to disappear. The previously entangled and chaotic emotions have now been straightened out.

The woman finally asked the question: "Why did you leave?" The man replied: "Why didn't you keep me?" Two seemingly different questions have been held in each other's hearts for 10 years. In fact, they just want to Knowing: "Did you still love me? If you did, why didn't you tell me?" The

man said, it was difficult for him to leave that time. When driving through every intersection, he wanted to go back, but he couldn't do it. Just like a woman can't control pain, he can't control himself.

The child represents the memory of happiness in this relationship. If the child is lost, that memory is nothing but pain. For many people, there will be similar experiences. Due to various accidents, their lives have changed from happiness to pain. Such changes have not only changed their lives, but also changed themselves. For those around you, getting along with the most familiar stranger is by no means easy.

Time claims to heal everything, and pain never disappears automatically with the passage of time. The man said that he could get out of those painful memories by singing, and he hoped that women could also find a way to face life again. He may not know that for a woman, this conversation may be a cure for her.

The previous "Breath" is like an adult fairy tale, and its ending is distorted because of romance and idealization. And this "Poison" is closer to reality. Life is not easy. In the face of sudden accidents, different people will make different choices. Some people are deeply trapped in it, unable to extricate themselves. Those pains are like poison that melts into the body, like a shadow, which will always happen in an inadvertent moment. The male protagonist in "Poison" made another choice. He faced reality and voluntarily released the shackles of pain. In the end, he walked out of the vortex of pain and found warmth and light.
