"Taking a breath" is self-willing and depraved?

Recently, I chatted with a student about work and rest. She told me that I leave the dormitory at 7 o'clock in the morning and spend most of the day in the library except for meals, reviewing homework, preparing for postgraduate entrance examinations, and returning to the dormitory at 10:30 or even 11 o’clock in the evening. After washing, I have to memorize vocabulary, and I have to recall the knowledge points during the day when lying in bed, and even stay up until one or two in the morning before going to bed. Weekends are basically the same as weekdays, with full arrangements. Her work and rest are not isolated cases. Many of her classmates are generally similar, and some of them even have sleep disturbances of varying degrees.

I can't help but think of me twenty years ago. At that time, I was also in my junior year, preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination, although I was busy but not too tight. I often play basketball with my male classmates in the afternoon, play badminton with my female classmates next night, pool money with my roommates on the weekend, and visit the video room near the school once every ten days and a half.

With the passage of time, the social development situation is very different, and the employment pressure of the new generation of young people is much greater. But in any case, in addition to learning and hard work, vigorous vitality is also the natural nature of people of this age.

A daughter in the first grade of elementary school, her schoolbag weighs about fifteen kilograms. After school every day, all kinds of homework clocks, interest, special tasks, etc. follow one after another. She seems to have been used to this pattern for a long time, so that when I asked "daughter, are you tired?" she answered me calmly: "I don't feel too tired."

Their current "everyday management", they don't even have time to "take a breath". This may help memorize book knowledge and score high on the test. The problem is that under the guidance of the "points-only theory", once the results or rankings do not meet the psychological expectations, it is easy to be confused: "I am not working hard enough, I will continue to work hard", "I can't read books, I am not born to read books" "Where is my future, I am very confused"... The

real knowledge and ability acquisition cannot be separated from the society, and you can't just look for it in school or with a book. Social knowledge, strong physique and healthy psychology play a vital role in shaping their complete personality and realizing the value of life in society.

From this, what I think of is "blank".

Blanking is a common technique in the creation of Chinese art works. In my field of expertise, the general meaning of the term "blank" is: in the process of urban development and construction, local governments should abandon their eagerness for purely pursuing GDP growth. Instead, cities should retain some pastoral, wilderness, and The purpose of "white land" such as idle land or ecological protection zone is to maintain and enhance the natural and ecological attributes of the city, and the future development of the city has more possibilities.

Cities need to be left blank, and people also need to be left blank. The blank space allows us to say goodbye to the high intensity and high pressure of modern society, let us have time to rest, pause and buffer, let our brains empty and rest, and use interesting things to unload our stress and unhappiness.

There are many friends who have the awareness of white space around me. Some are keen on hiking on weekends, climbing hills and ridges in the mountains, and having in-depth contact with nature around the clock; some are obsessed with Vlog shooting, filming, editing and editing from time to time. Publish short videos and be a recorder of daily life...

Timely "take a breath", let these friends of mine reap happiness and lightness by coincidence, which not only improves their learning or work efficiency, but also greatly improves their learning or work efficiency. Quality of life. "Taking a breath" is not a waste of time, nor is it self-willing to degenerate. It upholds the principles of "being too late" and "resting and rejuvenating", advocating "plan and then act" and "think twice before acting", and strive to seek various structural balances.

For cities, white space is the balance between the natural environment and the built environment, the balance between production, life and ecology, and the balance between the present and the future.

For individuals, white space is a balance between work and life, a balance between career, family, social interaction, sports, interest and entertainment, and a balance between body and soul.

In terms of society, white space is the balance between modernity (consequence) and resistance to modernity (consequence), the balance of fast-paced, high-pressure and slow life, and low-pressure, and the balance between growth and development.

Blank space is a kind of great wisdom, and I hope more people have this great wisdom
